Our Next Adventure

We are so excited to announce that changes are about to be made. We have done a lot of praying over the last 8 months about where we want to be by the end of 2017. We prayed that God would show us the direction he wants us to go in and, he close doors to what wasn’t doing his will.

It wasn’t too much longer after that, that we told just our parents and siblings and asked them to keep hush and to please pray for us. That we would make the right decisions that were best for our future. Wether God wanted us to move or not and where he wanted us to go.

We didn’t want anything to be said until we knew where God wanted us, for sure.

Although we are not wanting to have children for a little while longer, wherever we end up, we want to have an established community of friends and church family and be in a better school district than we are in now. Our future children’s education and relationships are very important to us. We want to be closer to our family, so our future children can have a close relationship with their grandparents. We also want to be closer to them in case something ever happens.

With that being said, we have both been looking, and applying, to jobs everywhere. The funny part is, God had a job lined up for Jake the whole time. The exact same engineering firm he works for now. Jake went to talk to his boss about what we were doing (to not blindside him) and his boss has been extremely supportive and understanding. Both of our bosses have.

The news is….

Jake is being transferred to work in Oxford, with the same company. He will be moving up there in the next month. I am still actively searching for a job but I know that will God will work everything out. Jake will be moving soon and I will be moving, once I get a job. This also allows me time to make sure everything is packed and ready when the time comes.

We will miss the Mississippi Delta but, we feel this is the best decision for our future. Over the last 3 1/2 years, we have met people and made some wonderful relationships, here. Our church family, coworkers, and family that lives in Greenville, have become some very special people to us. We are so thankful for their love, support, and investment in our marriage. They are a valuable part of shaping who Jake and I are today.

Now that you know what is going on, we ask that you pray for us as we make this move and start a new adventure. That everything works out and goes as smoothly as possible. Also, if you happen to have empty boxes or newspaper, and live close to Greenville, we will graciously use and take them.😉 And, if you know of places to rent in or around Batesville, that is pet friendly, please let us know. We are looking at renting for the next 6 months to a year. And then we will be looking at buying. (Because it’s hard to buy a house when you change jobs.)
