Friday Random Five

No. 2

  1. I’m so excited about starting a short devotional and learning about how to be a Titus 2 woman. I searched all over the internet to find an online devotional for young married women and this was one of the best I found. (This little town of Greenville doesn’t have but one small christian book store, so I’m limited in resources. šŸ˜¦ )
  2. Jake and I are spending the entire lent season (we are baptists and no we do not practice lent, this is just what I am doing for my personal self) working out at the gym and starting a new healthier lifestyle. We planned a couple days in August to go the beach, as an anniversary gift to each other. (Yes, it is a few months after our anniversary.) Jake has decided to use this as his motivation. I’ve been trying hard over the last couple months to get him to workout with me and I’m so excited he finally is! We haveĀ been doing very well over the last 2 weeks. Hopefully we can keep this up!
  3. This weekend I plan on going through clothes and shoes and donating what we get rid to salvation army.
  4. I’m loving this spring-ish weather we have been having this week and hoping, if it stays this way this weekend, to play outside with our dog some and deep clean our house with the windows opened. There is just something about warm weather that puts me in a major cleaning mode.
  5. This weekend I’m hoping to come up with at least three new healthy meals to try. If I do, and my husband approves it is a repeat worthy meal, I will post the recipe here next week.

Sharing a Little Yummy With You

I wanted to share something I find to be my favorite food/dessert ever! I find myself thinking about it and tasting it, in my memory, as each season comes up. Mostly because each season new flavors are introduced and sold only for that season, when you shop online.

I’m telling y’all. BEST ICE CREAM EVER!

I was first introduced to this deliciousness by a friend. Then, I ordered some online and was hooked. My mom, sister, aunt, and cousin, all went to Atlanta to see Shania Twain in concert, last summer. I was so hooked on Jeni’s that the only thing I told them I wanted to do, was go to Jeni’s. I didn’t care about the shopping, sight-seeing, or anything else. That was the only thing on my mind the whole weekend.

Just to give a little bit of info about Jeni’s ice cream. They get all of their ingredients from local farmers, meaning everything is organic, they also serve their own blend of coffee. Jeni also comes up with unique flavors. My favorites are wildberry lavender, red rasberry sorbet, and brambleberry crisp! Wildberry lavender is a very different, unique and subtle delicious flavor. It just became available to order online for the Spring and Summer and I am trying my best to wait until May to make another order.

They are so delicious, I just can’t help myself and end up making an order every season. If you need any recommendations, I recommend trying something that isn’t what you’d usually think of when it comes to ice cream or that you probably would never order, like sweet corn. That is how I came to be in love with wildberry lavender.
